What is the ISO - (International Organization for Standardization)
- The ISO is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO Member Bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through IOS technical committees.
- Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee.
- International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work.
- ISO collaborates closely with the International Electro Technical Commission (IEC) on all matters of the electro technical standardization.
These international standards do not state requirements, but provide guidance on the management of an audit programme, on the planning and conducting of an audit of the management system, as well as on the competence and evaluation of an auditor and an auditor and audit team.
